Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the website of the Central and Eastern European Academy of Oncology!

The Central and Eastern European Academy of Oncology, established in July 2019 with the support of the Hungarian government and with the participation of twenty-one countries, is implementing international cooperation in cancer research and treatment. Joint work covers all areas of care, including surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, coordination of the national cancer control programs, and training of the professionals, but also cooperation may emerge in drug innovation and clinical research among the countries.

With the establishment of the Academy, this region can take an extremely significant step forward in the direction that Western Europe and the United States have already taken. Due to the fact, however, that each relation is different, our circumstances and our opportunities are different, and we are weak alone, this collaboration strengthens this region and these countries not only in oncology, not only in medicine in general, but also beyond that.
